We have successfully completed a diverse range of projects across Europe, including geotechnical drillings in the heart of Amsterdam and Paris, water sediment surveys in the bustling ports of Rotterdam and the North Sea, and archaeological and environmental research in locations such as Antwerp and Sweden. Additionally, we have carried out drilling and sampling projects in mines at depths of up to 600 meters and core drillings up to 1000 meters, as well as on nuclear sites under the most stringent safety measures.

SIALTECH

Sialtech was founded in 1992 by two physical geographers, Marijn Rang and Chrit Schouten. In 1999, Henk Nijmeijers joined the company, eventually becoming its current owner. Under Nijmeijers’ leadership, Sialtech expanded significantly, beginning with the acquisition of the fieldwork team of the consultancy and engineering firm DHV in 2001, followed by the fieldwork team of the consultancy firm Chemielinco in 2003.

In 2011, Nijmeijers took over as the sole owner of Sialtech, which continued to operate as an independent company. Since then, Sialtech has become a leader in drilling and sampling. In 2021, Sialtech joined the ABO Group as an independent drilling company within the group

GEOSONIC FRANCE

Geosonic France has an interesting history, which began in 2001 as the European branch of ProSonic, a US-based company specializing in sonic drilling. However, in 2003, ProSonic was acquired by Board Longyear, also a US company. But in 2005, Board Longyear decided to discontinue its European operations. The then manager of the European branch, Bernard Lacroute, continued independently and founded ForaSonic.

In 2013, ForaSonic was acquired by Geosonic, a UK-based company that was also a former branch of Board Longyear. After the acquisition, ForaSonic was renamed to Geosonic France. In 2018, Geosonic France expanded its drilling capabilities by acquiring Cofor, a company specializing in core drilling.

Today, Geosonic France is part of the ABO Group, a leading player in the drilling and geotechnical engineering industry. With this integration, Geosonic France has access to a broader range of expertise, resources, and technology, enabling it to deliver even better services to its clients.
